Privacy Policy: What EasyGrade Stores and Shares
This privacy policy explains what happens to the grades and scores you type into EasyGrade, what your browser remembers, and what standard website data a host may collect.
Last updated October 2026.
Privacy policy: the short version
The calculators run inside your browser. The grades, scores, student names and scales you type are not uploaded to our server and are not saved by us. The only thing the calculators remember is your grading scale choice, stored in your own browser. We do not ask you to create an account.
What the calculators do with your numbers
Everything you enter is processed by code running on your device. Nothing you type into a calculator, including the class grade sheet, is sent to us. When you close or reload the page, the numbers you typed are gone. See the grading methodology for how results are worked out.
What your browser remembers
The calculators save one setting in your browser’s local storage: your grading scale choice (standard, plus/minus or a custom scale you built), and options such as decimals shown and Round before grading. It lets the setting carry from page to page. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the calculators still work, but the setting is not remembered.
Copy, print and CSV export
The copy, print and CSV buttons work on your device. Copying puts text on your clipboard. Printing uses your browser’s print dialog. A CSV is created in your browser and saved by you. Nothing is uploaded.
Standard website data
Like most websites, this site’s hosting service may keep ordinary server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. This is used to run and secure the site. The site is built on WordPress, and some plugins or themes may set cookies for functions such as security or performance. The calculators themselves do not use cookies.
If we add analytics, advertising or similar services, we will say so on this page and name what they collect.
If you contact us
If you send a message through the contact page or by email, we receive the details you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply and to fix problems. Please do not send real student records.
Children and students
EasyGrade is used by students and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the calculators do not need any. Teachers should follow their school’s rules before typing student names into any tool, and the tools keep nothing once the page closes.
Third-party links
Some pages link to outside sites such as Wikipedia. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we do not control them.
