Disclaimer: How to Use EasyGrade Results

This disclaimer explains that EasyGrade calculators give estimates for planning, not official grades, and that your teacher, school or institution always has the final say.

Last updated October 2026.

Disclaimer: the short version

EasyGrade is a free set of grade calculators. Results are estimates based only on the numbers you type and the grading scale you choose. They are not official grades, academic advice, or a promise of any result. Your teacher’s gradebook and your school’s policies decide your real grade. If a result matters, confirm it with your teacher.

Results are estimates, not official grades

The calculators apply standard arithmetic, such as averages, weights and cutoffs, to your inputs. Your school may count work differently, for example by dropping grades, rounding at a different point, capping extra credit or using its own scale. The calculators cannot see those rules. See the grading methodology for exactly what each tool does.

Scales and charts are examples

The standard, plus/minus and 7-point scales, and the GPA values on the grading charts, are common examples. They are not official standards. Schools and teachers set their own cutoffs, so the same percent can earn different letters in different places. Always check your syllabus or ask.

What-if tools do not predict outcomes

The final, midterm, curve and semester calculators show what would happen if certain scores occur. A needed score is arithmetic, not a forecast. A grade curve result shows what a method would do, not what your teacher will do.

Accuracy and errors

We test the calculators and aim to make them accurate, but we cannot promise they are free of errors or that they will work in every browser. Check important results by hand using the formulas on the methodology page. If you find an error, please contact us with the numbers you entered.

No academic, financial or legal advice

Nothing on this site is academic, financial, legal or professional advice. GPA results do not guarantee admission, scholarships, eligibility or any other decision. Those are made by the institutions involved.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the results and for any decisions you make from them, including study plans, course choices or what you tell others about a grade. EasyGrade is not responsible for losses or consequences that follow from relying on an estimate. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law where you live.

Teachers and schools using the tools

If you are a teacher or administrator, treat the class grade calculator and other tools as a helper. Check results against your own gradebook before you record or share them, and follow your school’s privacy rules before entering student information. The tools run in your browser and do not upload data. See the privacy policy.
